I have ADHD, and I used to have regular ADD. I saw a psychiatrist & psychologist for 8 years of my life, stopped about 3 years ago. I had some meds I was on, stopped taking them 4 moths ago, as the Navy won't pass me on my medical unless I've been off all that for a year. Wanna see how effed up I am?

I feel like this is inaccurate, because today is one of those days where everything thats happened has made me feel... normal. I've always had decent amounts of friends, but being really close to someone comes, and then goes away in a few weeks. I'm not sure why....

I think ADHD (which is diagnosed and being treated) is the core cause of most of my problems.

Hello,

I have ADD, Dyslexia and PTSD I take an antidepressant(cymbaltac20mg-considered to low to be affective) and concerta for the ADD I take an a low dose zanax. I tend to write letters and number backwards. I have classic symptoms for all of my diagnosis. I have been through 3 years of therapy and I am a full time college student 2 year graduate. I struggle with math( my two classes left before I get my degrees-A.A.S. Social Services/Gerontology)writing essays only by English teachers. I have suspected ADD and Dyslexia go hand in hand, since I am writing a research paper on Dyslexia and Self esteem,

I was wondering if any one with dyslexia could enlighten me on the effects of your condition has had on your self esteem. How do you cope? What advice do you have for others suffering from dyslexia?

Thank You,
Kimberly

I find my results alarming but I am not that surprised. I am not going to take this test to seriously, but I will look into it a little more.

I'm a little worried.
I know I have depressions and what not, and I answered honest on this test and almost everything fitted on me.

Paranoid: High
Schizoid: Low
Schizotypal: High
Antisocial: High
Borderline: Very High
Histrionic: High
Narcissistic: High
Avoidant: High
Dependent: Very High
Obsessive-Compulsive: High

I don't really know if I should be worried or not actually?
Maybe this just means I have a very low self-esteem or what?

I had severe ADD = You may not believe this, but I have decreased my symptoms tremendously by helping the brain out a little. I bought a coffeebean grinder and use it exclusively for grinding flaxseed bought for about $1.70 a pound. The grinder is simple to use and costs $20 at Target. I use adult portion - 3 tablespoons taken at separate times throughout the day. I am sure to drink plenty of water about 6-8 cupss a day as the flaxseeds are a lot of fiber which our bodies need for good digestion. I put some in my beakfast (any cereal, smoothies, etc.). You can't put them into a wet salad. If you don't drink enough water in a day you will get constipated. I sprinkle it in soups in meatloaf almost all foods are fine. It has a nutty flavor. I don't eat fish much. You get the same Omega 3 there also. It have been found to be a tremendous help for children and adults with Autism. Your ADD should clear up even better if you reduce fast foods and processed foods (those with a long list of Ingredients on the container of chemicals you never heard of and/or with MSG). Read the SO EASY TO READ book called EAT THIS AND LIVE. I bought it in Publix near where magazines and other books are sold or get it a Barnes & Noble or Amazon.com. My research has led me to believe some ADD in inherited and some caused from not eating enough hearthy foods like fruits and vegetables. Steam vegies, eat a variety of fruit, and grind your flaxseeds and eat daily or eat the fish without mercury. The book above tells you which are best for you. MY ADD has improved significantly. Brown or golden flaxseeds are both good. Your entire body will thank you, not just your brain. Don't but in bags unless you want to pay $11 a pount versus $1.70 a pound at Whole foods. Ask the workers there how much to give children. I keep mine in the fridge. Discuss with the workers there how to store. I grind mine once a week and keep in a small tupperware container in sprinkle on my food about three times a day. TRY IT AND YOU WILL SEE A DIFFERENCE IN A FEW WEEKS OR A FEW MONTHS. EVERYONE IS DIFFERENT. BE SURE TO DRINK YOUR WATER OR YOU WILL BE CONSTIPATED.

I have been struggling for so long to decipher whih issue to focus on that these results make me feel as if I've only hit the tip of the iceberg. I am waiting to hear back from a psychiatrist and am already on my first set of meds which my family described as "Taking a stab at it". Has anyone else had this happen to them?
