| Unless the one who coined the term meant "split from society" or something equally as philosophical sounding. After all, you say you don't like to mix with scoiety too much, Hip :p | |

Yes and no, Im not some faggy "scene kid" who listens to linkin park and other alternative rock all day, and plays video games believing it is "counterculture." But conventional pop culture doesnt endorse me either. The only thing I hate about the general public nowadays is the fact that today's adult tends to be an incompetent, sociopathic f---tard who squirts out a couple kids because he doesnt wanna die alone, never intends to spend any time raising his children so he relies on the Xbox to be the substitute parent while he's venturing outside sucking cock. Obviously his kids grow up to have problems and never develop any social skills since their only friend was the Xbox and some dork next door in the exact same ordeal. If the incompetent dumb faggot gets lucky, their antidepressants will f--- their brain up to the point of suicide and then he will get to sue Microsoft because their products "corrupted" his children. If he is truly ambitious, he may even found an organization based on the case, "exposing" video games as the new age drug, and he will be lauded a hero for being such a valiant parent, when in reality he never spent 2 seconds with any of his kids because he was sucking so much dick on the block. And somehow psychiatrists still make big bucks and go unpunished despite that they are selling substances that are obviously toxic, and have a label that warns parents that it may cause your kid to be psychotic, suicidal or homicidal. It's s--- like this that just makes you want to f---ing SCREAM, AND SKIN SOME SORRY MOTHERf---ER ALIVE. Or as a foreign friend of mine said "How can you (american) do that to your own children? Your own American children? What kind of psychopath are you?" Come to think of it, I DONT have any respect for my nationality. Other than that, no, I fit in perfectly, i am totally connected with society. I think? Or is the schizoid disorder preventing me from seeing something? |

Heh, dont worry about it, its not YOU that got to me. In fact, what got me aggravated today was when I read the Brandon Crisp story (yeah okay it's been a year, where the hell have I been, yeah yeah) and heard that his father helped him pack up and run away from home, and then he casually says that he regrets nothing, that he thinks he handled it professionally like any other parent would. Help your kid run away????????????? What the HELL are you smoking? Whatever... you answered my question anyway about the schizoid etymology. The world temporarily makes sense again O_O |

| "The Split" doesn't refer to split personality. It refers to a split in the ego structure of the person. In 100% emotionally healthy people, ie. who score low on all personality types, their ego is completely integrated. people with any sort of personality disorder can be thought as not having a completely intregrated ego. So for schzoids the split is between their thinking world and their feeling world. Basically when they do engage with other people, the part that engages is not actually connected to their feelings.. so basically that is one of the reasons they are indifferent to praise or criticism. | |
