| new schizoid selfdiagnosed of course. Married with two kids. I found that usually child abuse is a cause. That would explain why I have it. All kinds of abuse. I noticed it kind of makes you bitter or angry not to mention impatient. | |

Hip In fact, i already do what is called "Sleep Hygiene" which means, not eating heavy stuff before going to bed, not reading before going to sleep etc. Besides, i medidate as well, everyday before going to sleep, at least 30 mins, but i still have to take medications. And about the dependence, i already avoid taking medicine when i don't need to be "full" the other day, like weekends, holidays, vacations, etc. This way, i can keep taking low dosis and keep the same effect, without the need to increase the dosis. So, there is no problem about that. But, about the sleep disorder, its like i said, probally genetical or caused by my life-style. |

Yeah I'd say genetic, because I do a hell of a lot of thinking too, awaiting to get a new batch of material tomorrow, awaiting to see how my project will turn out overnight, awaiting to finish my next project and so on. But thinking deeply when I go to bed actually helps me sleep, dont know why it disturbs yours. It may also be cuz you arent active enough. So try regular exercise each day and see if it helps. |

| well thats an easy one, you are definitively not an aspie because you actually give a damn about something other than yourself, an you are obviously not an avoidant since said you have friends, wich leaves you only with the philosopher way of a schizoid. | |

i was just wondering about this topic on another thread---does the test given here take AS traits into account? (i score high for Asperger's traits on--well, unofficial tests anyway.) my schizoid score was only moderate but schizotypal and avoidant--very high. anyway... just wanted to note that sleep disorders are pretty common in those with AS. so are anxiety and depression. that's according to what i've been reading anyway. if you're interested, here's a pretty good (unofficial) quiz for Asperger's traits: [no urls] |

| I am diagnosed with asperger's, but I've never really thought it fit me. I have severe anxiety problems, but my doctor won't diagnose me with anything because I just turned 20 and she thinks I'm trying to get on disability (which I was, now I'm in university) I am taking risperidone for my insomnia. | |

I can help you with that. Blink alot, keep fidgeting, never make eye contact, look at the floor while talking and keep nitpicking pointless details during conversation. Make sure you make the conversation as boring as possible, and mention at the end that youre planning to buy an anime lovedoll to dump your cum in with the money from the disability check. Thats guaranteed to get you the diagnosis and the disability pension. |

| i guess i can't put url's in here. one way to get to the quiz is to do a google search on aspie-quiz. the first choice in the search will take you to it. | |
