I'm asking cause I scored high on schizoid, which I was not expecting. I was expecting high on avoidant, which I did. I was labeled avoidant years ago.

A lot of the schizoid descriptions seem to fit me, except for getting lonely from time to time and wanting company to ease the loneliness. Most of the time I prefer to be alone.

i belive its said they can feel somesort of lonelyness to some degree even tho they dont like people at all. wich can be simply started by booredome and wanting to just time pass or just somthing better to do atm etc. but not need to comunicate i belive just sortoff be around in people in the case. well there are all kind of people just might as well be that they see the effort to keep a friendship meaningless. but still gets alitle lonley.

I know I do. The feeling of loneliness is simply an empty feeling. I haven't a desire really to "get out there" and meet new people. I just sadly, softly succumb to the fact that noone-but noone understands me. Somehow, in the eventuality of that day, the tangible cobweb my mental illness shrouds me in comfort and I no longer feel lonely. Just alone...as it has always been.

Everyone, no matter their personality would get lonely at some point after having no social contact for a while, and after extended periods of time (over a year) would go insane.

Don't worry, I understand it. It just came off like English wasn't your first language. ^_^ I was curious.

Is this post offensive?)

Not in my view. But I personally feel that I wouldn't go insane after a year away from people. Nor would most non-schizoids in that time period. My personal experience of having schizoid personality trait (I don't consider it a disorder for me) would suggest that it'd be easier for us.

yea it does get lonley, but the simple fact that people are more trouble than thier worth mostly takes the lonliness away. lol

i find it interesting that any schizoids frequent this forum if you are not interested in social contact. i mean, we are after all socializing are we not?

I never get lonely, and being Schizoid is a preference. Also, I only have myself to depend upon.

Look up cabin fever. Mythbusters have done a test, and all the subjects have exhibited one or more of the symptoms. They deem the myth plausible.
