How do you react fellow narcissists?

Me...I really get baffled at the situation as to why they have such low self esteem and I want to yell at them how easy it is to look at yourself with such greatness and beauty..(In some cases this might not work if you're ugly..)But still...

And this helps if your picking up a woman.

Pampering her self esteem.

But in the end, if they don't really take my advice, I tend to mess with them/ridicule them/criticize them.

And if that doesn't affect them...I mostly give up, because they're boring.

I like trying to rape the emotions of others.

Not because I have a low self esteem which is not true.

But because it's interesting to see how a person of low status would react to more belittling.

Anyways, tell your stuff if you ever been in a situation like this!

I wouldnt even bother, I'm always busy and got so many things to think and worry about that I could give a rats ass that some moron cuts and hates himself. I used to pick on them, but passively only.

I did have a childhood friend with low self esteem though, but he's been dealing with his s--- since forever so I never really confronted his low confidence directly. I just reminded him that he should be like me: focus on yourself, spend more time on yourself and less with self-validation by constantly seeking other peoples approval. Discover yourself and reinvent your style, THEN start showing yourself off and seek approval. If you dont get it, f--- them.

Low self-esteem is never the issue...the issue is a deeper underlying confusion about who I am and who God is and what our purpose is.

Then you took a wrong turn on the forum somewhere :P

Damn, this thread is interesting! *revives*

Sorry, useful. So what is it, do you just sort of not get why they are the way they are? Can't get your head around why their moping like that? What is it that makes them so hard to deal with-- possibly wrong wording-- a nuisance to deal with?

I mean, I've been in this situation before (haven't we all?) and people with too much of a low self esteem are just ... too much. They ain't gonna help themselves no matter what you say and you just end up losing your rag. They always strike me as equally as selfish :-/

Hang on did I read this correctly? Be nice to people....then if they have a problem they might get some sort of inner validity. That is my motto.
Does not mean you have to spend hours and hours on someone who is not listening. Just means treat them with respect....

really interesting to read this post. a sociopath essentially did to me what Kizer describes. it began by him manipulating me by phonily flattering me, etc etc..
there is no point trying to understand the lack of conscience of a sociopath; it's basically a hole in the head. they lack a piece of the brain that everyone else has, although they are usually above average in other categories. this particular individual is brilliant. and i no longer give even the slightest shred of a f--- that she is. if he died i would be relieved, in part because it would mean he could no longer do to anyone else what he did to me. "Is it proper to call evil a person who cannot even comprehend what it means?" - something I read about this disorder.. which puts the problem in a nutshell to me.

I went to this good website about sociopathy but can't find it now; here's another:

What is morally wrong and right is subjective. Only you determine what's real; What your sociopath did to you erinro was indeed probably very wrong, but to him, he rationalized it in a manner that made it acceptable maybe with a dash of entitlement too who knows what a person really thinks.

>What is morally wrong and right is subjective.
Well, that's certainly true, and the difficulty with sociopathy.

>your sociopath
=). I think this would make a good band name.. But thanks, now I have one more name for him.

oh certainly, he rationalized it. he probably still thinks i think the sun shines out of his ass & that I benefited from acquaintance with his magisterial genius because i'm not in a position to tell him differently.
