ggb-Well done for the realization, you may be buzzing at the thought.

The hard work is keeping that feeling and applying it to your day to day life that eventually makes the permanent change.x

oh yes - its difficult at times & yes i do miss the person & feel sad that it has to come to this. learning more about npd & borderline pd makes me wish him well and that he find healing. this realization also helped me detach from him as me initiating contact with him or continuing on with "us" would not help him as much as it wouldnt help me.

Having only read the subject and your OP, my immediate advice would be to not try and outplay him, unless you have a higher IQ than he has and the passion for this type of game to match it. It's really that simple, I'm afraid.

Please, please take my advice.
This guy sounds exactly like my ex. Eventually the high is not that high, and the down is so low. He leaves you with nothing to win or nothing to lose. He will make you feel like he is the most you can ever amount to in life. He is dellusional, he thinks that every problem is not his fault. He lies, to your face, and even though you caught him red handed you pretend to believe him. LEAVE HIM, I promise, it'll be hard at first but you'll be fine in no time what so ever! You will be, just rip off the plaster!

You are the only one who feels what you feel, so why feel bad!
