I went to the doctors today (for the first time in ages as i am so scared he is going to tell me i only have 10 minutes to live) regarding mole on big toe that i swear was never there before- he says nothing to worry about- its getting chopped out in two weeks- like hell im waiting for it to get bigger before i take action. As soon as I found it I could 'feel it'- my toe started to tingle (never did before) and then my foot and leg got a tingling thing happening also. I have found it hard to sleep at night because of it. I keep myself awake by thinking 'skin cancer is eating your toe!' I cant believe how stupid I can be. My doctor told me "not to panic you- but a patient last month had melanoma on the bottom of her small toe" Thanks doc now i will never sleep!!

I love sudden bursts of freaking out!

I'm eighteen years old and I suffer from various mental disorders like bipolar, PTSD, and insomnia. I am also an undiagnosed hypochondrac, or so they say. I believe everyday that the word numbing pains in my abdomen are caused by a fatally dangerous ailment. I have constant an annoyed reassurance from my family and friends though I still think there is something severely wrong with me. I have survived several fatal overdoses and many lesser ones. I have been institutionalized six times and am wondering if the seventh would help. I've seen my doctor two times within the last month and she thinks I'm just crazy and sees nothing wrong with me, but hasn't ran any tests. Constant worry severely interferes with my daily life, I can hardly stand it anymore. Any advice?

Hi teeny-

Have you seen anyone about depression? I think if you see your doctor and talk to her about the way you are feeling she will be able to give you some insite as to why you feel this way. Get her to run some bloods if it will make you feel better- I was like that for a while. I had a blood test every couple of weeks and that went on for a few months. You probably just think the doctor thinks you crazy because she isnt giving you what you want to hear.

Its amazing what our minds can do to us if we believe its true. You get all sorts of phantom pains- i get shooting pains in my arms, legs, head and chest- its my bodies way of giving me anxiety.

Just remember when you start to have a panic over your health to take a few deep breaths and think to youself "its nothing to worry about". And just a word of advice- your only 18, please dont try to overdose its not the way out, life is worth it- just ask for help :o)
