I know not everyone here is suicidal, but for those who might be:

I realized recently that I believe in karma and reincarnation, and that this belief is the only reason I haven't killed myself.

Does anyone else here have religious/spiritual reasons for not committing suicide? Other reasons?

My boyfriend :) Seriously, I'd be dead without him.

I wouldn't want my child to commit suicide. I stay here for my mother and little brother. I don't want to hurt them like that. It wouldn't be right. I also stay for my sister and her kids. They look up to me.

There's also the itsy bitsy little tiny bit of hope that things will get better.... :/

My fear of pain in slitting my wrist keeps me alive. And a bit of hope that someday all these things are going to make sense.

Well, not that I'm depressed. But I strictly believe that death is death and the end of it all. That is why I don't fear it, because I won't even experience it.
And it is also a reason for not quitting on life, you won't get a second chance, so make whatever you feel like until the time comes. When it ends it ends.

Well, I have failed twice now.
After that I sort of figured maybe there was a 'reason' I was still alive. Like I was suppose to help other people.

On another side: IF there's a hell, well, I've already signed my soul over.

Then again, I think if I failed a third time, I'm afraid I'd be locked up in the hospital for a long, long time.

I guess the reasoning varies from day to day.

my reason... there's two, one stopped me the first time, the other the second.
1. my god, i thought he wouldn't like it if i did. he'd pick up my broken pieces and weep.

2. i know there's a reason a i live. i know there'll be a time when someone will need me and i will live til that moment and make myself the person who can help them. i don't want that time to come and be dead.
