hello i'm actually new to this sort of forum.....so please excuse me for being nervous. fact is i seem to high Histrionic, Narcissistic and Dependent. but this being the case only when my FATHER is around. as a child i grew up in a very healthy family, truthfully never went through ANY sort of hardship.(thanks to ma dad....my hero) but after all this......from when i was around 12 years old...i became aware that my father actually wanted a son for a child and definitly not a daughter. (PLEASE DON'T HATE HIM FOR THIS or what follows!) for him- a girl is someone who NEEDS to depend on someone always and cannot do anything better than men and the only way she can give pride to the family is by marrying a man who can bring pride without fail. (OK!! SO MY DAD HAS HIS OWN ISSUES!) coming back to me...... ever since i came to know that..i started turning into a tomboy(from being very lady-like) did everything a guy would do.....came in 1st place in sports, art and studies(SORRY!LOL...Histrionic, YA BUT I WOULDN'T LIE RIGHT NOW)....but my father wouldn't even acknowledge it! well i am 19 now..... and i am still stuck with trying different ways to impress him and he still dosen't care. i did try to move away from him a couple of time but everytime my father got a gist of it...he would lecture me about how much he loves me......i would eventually fall into the trap....back to square 1!!!!!!!! i am now studying business now so that i can do business with mY dad but the problem here is.....he has a different plan for me....get me married to someone rich so that i dont have to work!!! (COOL RIGHT!!! NOWAY!!!) i'm an aspiring artist and cannot sit still and always needs to be on the go. i am far from my father now(IN A DIFFERENT COUNTRY) but he has his ways of keeping me under his control...(REALLY SCARY :-S)but now i am very girly....i love being a girl and doing different stuff with friends and all of them know about this issue aswell(i promised my self never to lie to anyone but my father) and they support me and stuff......but i felt i needed more help from people who can actually relate to it. i hope someone responds to this...it's really long...(I KNOW!!!)but please help. if you want to see a photo of me with my dad and then away from him (WOW! I COULDN'T TELL THE DIFFERENCE!LOL) tell me any group site n i'll try n put it up. thanks a lot |

Sounds to me Kira like you have lots of things in your life to be gratful for, My dad wanted a boy too, I even have the name they were gonna name him, they just changed my middle name, so I can relate. |

wow...thanks...now i know i'm not alone in it. but my problem is i cant shake it loose n because of this....well...i never had the confidence to date anyone.... there is someone i love and i know we'd be great together...lol but he wont ask me out cause he was dumped when he was 16 and now the first move is impossible for him or he'd rather work.....me and him are work-a-holics...but in a good way i want to make the first move but don't know how...(crying)lol dont know what to do without him |

| So if the first move is impossible for him, why don't u make the first move, or do something like have a BBQ, invite other people too, but just make it possiblr 4 u two to hang out. Make opportunities for something 2 happen. | |

WOW....thank you.... what about me sticking with my dad...lol i need shake my dad a little loose to care for my boyfriend... :-P thank you soo much for your replies :-D T_T |
