i'm 16 and have lots of close friends, but if i don't see them in a while or if they dont call or text me i get a notion in my head that they don't want to talk to me or they're angry at me and i become really depressed until i see them again and they can reassure me that they still love me and i've dont nothing wrong. Sometimes they ask me questions like "do you not trust us?" and i can hear them getting fed up of me being so clingy but i can't help it. i don't know what to do i'm just so afraid that they will stop talking to me because of it and that i'll be left with no one. i also get paranoid when i walk in to a room full of people that they're looking at me and judging me or making nasty comments in their heads, even if they're complete strangers and i need someone to reassure me that there's nothing wrong with me. my ex dumped me three months ago, he said i was a needy psycho and i'm still not over it. if i tell a close friend that i think i have dependent personality disorder they'll probably think i'm making it up for attention. i dont know what to do.

Hi queendaisy
The best thing to do is ask you Doctor to refer you to a Therapist they are good at working with people with DPD. It's good to be able to talk to someone about all this and they will give you coping mechanisms to work with.

Your just like me. I do that as well. I recommend you speak to a therapist, that's the best option.
