Borderline Personality Disorder and the Insanity Defense

	As most of you know, Hinckley Jr. had NPD, which has some overlap w/ BPD...anyway, since the Reagan case there has been a reduction in insanity pleas...is this good?...well...prison doesn't seem to rehabilitate...though expensive rubber rooms for murderers doesn't go over well for tax payers...so...hence the debate on this board... - BPD/NPD Stalker Victim (liley future homicide victim?)

	i have BPD APD BIPOLAR AND INTERELLECTL DISABILITY and i have been in prison 4 times in austrilia i think my disorders have been the big part to play in the offending i have lots of assult charges and disordly conduct charges. all the charges happened when i was ill and im a defrent person when i am well. as a child i was diganosed as ADHD ODD CONDUCT DISODER. im not useing them as it was only because of the problems but i woldent have been in prison if i didnt have them

	You still have the choice - yes, BPD's feel that empowering impulses, but we have some control. An impulse can be acted on with THOUGHT.

	hey everyone, I recently broke up with a boyfriend of mine, the love of my love bcs I couldnt get through his head that I am not planning on leaving him anytime soon! unless he will make me and he left after almost 4yrs bcs I didnt let him abuse my credit cards to drink his head off!!!!!!

	While in a BPD blackout. I haven't drank in over 10 years but I got drunk and attempted suicide in husband's truck. Got arrested for DUI. I have no memories of ever leaving my home. I've had 10 ECT treatments and suffer from many mental illnesses. I'm pleadeing not guilty by reason of temporary insanity. Have medical documentation of blackouts and BPD.

	I was first diagnosed with bpd in the 80's. I have always felt shame for this, as I was treated very badly by mental health treaters. When I was rediagnosed in 2008 with bpd, I malingered anti-social personality disorder. It landed me a year in a backwards state institution. I did not have the coping skills to handle the hatred and contempt my treaters laid on me. I have so much anger, anxiety, and shear panic episodes that I no longer go out. Althou my anger scares me, I know I do not have it in me to kill someone else. The hospitalization caused so much sexual trauma that now I have physical sensations of sexual abuse...body memories. I now am being treated for ptsd just because of this hospitalization. Even tho I have intense emotions, I do not believe that it can be used as a defense against murder. I do know right from wrong. Even in an acute rage.
