| My girlfriend used to cut herself. It's set in my mind that if she does it again, I will do it, post it to my facebook profile, and demand that she never do it again. I need to know how to do so without going and killing myself. Do you do it perpendicular to the wrist, or across? Should I avoid certain veins or areas? Thanks for your help. | |

I'm not an expert on cutting. I've only done it a few times...but that was a few years ago. I didn't even know what I was doing. Look, if you really want to, you can do it on your thigh. That would be safest in my opinion. Or if you really want to do it on your arms then just be careful and avoid any veins and stuff. Please be careful. |

Strange, this could be my ex-girlfriend's new boyfriend for all I know. But what are the chances? All I can really say is, instead of making a point by injuring yourself, why don't you talk to your girlfriend. Ask her why she does it. Ask her what things make her want to do it. If you love her, you'll take measures to keep these things from happening to her (or help her cope with them if they're unavoidable) instead of making her feel guilty through you hurting yourself. Can you see how that could make things worse rather than better? Guilt, my friend, is dangerous in these waters. I really hope you don't do it. There are ways that don't involve injury, that are MORE effective. |

if someone i loved, cut themselves cuz i do it and posted it on facebook, i would first of all feel soo sorry for that pperson, then get mad, at that person and myself for cutting, feel really depressed, and prob. consider suicide as the only option... and ur gf is not gonna stop overnight, it takes time, and def. longer than a month xD trust me... |
