Borderline and PTSD

	Do most borderline's experience PTSD as well? (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) I have severe PTSD and am borderline and wanted to know if others shared in this and if they feel a connection between the two.

	PTSD and borderline can be very similar, my mother was misdiagnosed with everything from just anxiety disorder to bi-polar before she was diagnosed with borderline personality disorder, I myself have PTSD but think its not just PTSD, that is borderline...idk im going to make an appointment with my doctor monday.

	Sometimes, Borderlines breed borderlines, Mort. As far as it being related to PTSD, it very well could, in some cases. According to my book, "Understanding the Borderline Mother" by Lawson, they are "volatile, impulsive, self-destructive and fearful of abandonment". It is a border between sanity and insanity because "separation and loss can trigger suicidal and spychotic reactions". Anyway, the ver fact that so many borderlines come out of living with a borderline would indicate being under fire and theu, PTSD. You may want to get this book. It is so helpful in understnad and forgiving the borderlines in your life and even forgiving yourself. It is uncommon for a borderline to recognize the illness withing themselves, so those that do...will make mountains of progress as opposed to those that make the problem every elses. I applaud all with this disorder that face it head on. That takes character.

	Sorry for all the typos. I typed for the U.S. Navy and never could get my fingers in the right place, lol. Sorry, I have terrible eye hand coordination. I think you can get the gist of the context of my thoughts, anyway.

	i had a traumatic stressfull situation that affected my life.it has been described as RAPE,it happened when i was young and naive,post disorder came when i understood enough to know that it was wrong x
