| Think which way your veins flow. Cutting along them as opposed to across is gonna bleed way more, and damage way more. | |

| Fatality: I may sound like an idiot but are you saying it causes more harm to cut verically or horazantally? | |

| Well if you think about it it really does make since bc if you cut vertically it can like completely split your vein open,as opposed to cutting horizontally it could still cause harm but it just a little slit in your vein compared to it being completely split open. | |

I cut myself because I need to be punished. I take a steak knife and glide it across my wrists. I'm a cook, so I have very good knife skills. As the blade cuts into the skin, I feel calm, just like when I was a kid and just got a beating...After you calm down, you know you deserved it. I hit my wife for the first time last night. After I ran to the kitchen to punish myself. anyone not in the position to understand what I am thinking, is not in the right forum. |

This thread is f---ing rediculous - you're all helping eachother go deeper into sickness. Nice work - goddam blind leading the blind here. And look - wow - threads on cutting get more action than any other. So encouraging - Borderlines just go onto forums so they can be EVEN MORE BORDELINE. f---ing genious people. |

| This is a place to support eachother in GETTING BETTER - not to talk shop and share trade-secrets on how better to f--- up your life and the lives of those around you. Yeah, I get we're all supposed to accept eachother where we are - but that doesn't mean encouraging eachother toward the edge of the cliff - like "if we all jump together it will be easier!" How about "if we all get well together it will be easier"? Ask yourselves this - if being Borderline is working so well for you then why are you on this site? At some point you came here to get away from it. Ok, so you lost your goddam way - fine - but the fact is that BPD IS NOT WORKING FOR YOU - so why be so loyal to it? It's not f---ing working - give something else a try! | |

| srbutler75: Point taken but really watch the language. True we are supposed to help each other and your right that we're not supposed to give advice on hurting your self but really there is no need to be so dramatic. I admit you have extremly good reasoning but try to tone it down. Everyone knows your not supposed to f*** up your life. People try not to and maybe it does sound like this forum is pro self harm but it really isn't supposed to be. | |

I'm sorry for offending your tender sensabilities, but did you happen to read any of the previous posts? Occasionally a bit of strong language is called for. Were the context different I would certainly apologize; but in this case, with the kind of spiralling talk that was going on here, a little "slap-slap-wake-the-hell-up" is in order. I'm stunned - I use the f-word following "TOP TEN WAYS TO OPEN YOUR VEINS" and it's out of line. Get some perspective. |

The average amount of posts per thread is probably around 20. The amount of posts inpsired by the subject of sharing techniques and methods of cutting yourself has gotten over 34 times as many. In the quiet words of Lewis Black, "something has gone Asskeew." |
