KEEPH0lDiNG0N: I feel like I'm turning this forum into a shrink session *shivers* which is one thing I hate. But thanx for actually responding usually I'm a b**** so people don't respond but my personality is suprisingly on the goodside at rare moments like this. lovethemusic: (if you actually read this) A lot of people know how you feel and yes cutting does seem to fill the empty hollows of the sprit/soul. You feel like you can control the pain you feel. Personally I don't get whats so bad about cutting. |

| aca6: hey, thanks for replying. And yeah, I'm glad someone actually understands what I mean. A lot of people say it's bad and everything, but it actually helps me in a way. That probably doesn't make any sense to some people, but I don't know why they think it's so bad. I agree with you, I don't understand what the big deal is | |

I've actually just started. Well, I don't break skin. I just make one long and fast scratch with the pin of a badge/needle. I don't need my skin to break or anything. Take f---ing ages for the scratches to disappear though. I also do something quite weird with my arm. I tie a tight elastic/rubber band around my arm (in between wrist and elbow) and leave it there until I can't take it anymore. It cuts into the skin so deep and restricts blood flow to the arm. Probably quite dangerous but it makes my arm really numb and tingly and actually makes me feel alive for once. Just watch out for when you arm starts to lose it's colour: probably time to call A&E! |

35mm: Dang, sucks it takes a long time to get of those scratches. I thought things like that would go away fast. And you really do that? That sounds crazy. Must try =D |

Yeah. I thought they'd be quite quick to heal too. Some scratches from a month ago are still there though, so... Mmm. It feels nice though. Woke up in the middle of the night yesterday and had to take it off because I was about to faint :P |

lovethemusic:There are alot of people here that do. Maybe it's the reason they created this forum, if only so people know that there is someone who understands. 35mm:Hmm, never heard anything like that before. Might try, might not. It just depends on my mood I suppose. Now I have a question. What way do people cut? Is it up and down or left to right. I'm extremly confused about that. Anybody care to answer? |

Umm. thats strange I always cut vertical. 35mm: Maybe you went to deep. It happens. Of course it stings, it usually does. Maybe you are used to the numb feeling of no circulation and it just seems to hurt more than the rubber band. |

| To feel alive. I rarely feel anything (emotional or physical) and for once that made me feel something. | |

35mm: True I pretty much always feel numb in the emotional sense and physical also so I can understand what you mean. H*** if it makes you feel better go for it I suppose. You can always tell any people that don't understand that its your life, (that and some other curse words of course) vulcan_android:it depends on how fast you heal. Some people heal faster than others and they don't take fooorrever to go away just a while. At least the cuts aren't somewhere visible. |
