| Don't make us all laugh. You come onto a forum thats dedicated to people like us, and then you make an account called anonymous? Don't want to show yourself? Get real kiddo, and FYI not all of us actually like doing it, but feel compelled to do so. | |

when i first started cutting i used a box cutter then i'd go over it with a steak knife. lol, now i use a razor from a razor blade, i just like ripped it apart and took one of the blades...but i still go over it with the knife, idk why, but i kinda like the way it feels. but hey, any of you i was wondering, how deep is deep? like i feel like i don't cut myself deep, but my scars are like still really bright red from 6 months ago. |

| Mine only really just pierce the skin, never deep, but they stay sore-looking for about a month and the scars stay for about 6. I guess my skin doesn't heal quick :\ | |

| I do about 5-6 different ones, all close to each other, but they always end up on top of the previous time's scars, and because of that i get a nice little bald patch on my leg lol. | |

I cut myself for the first time today. I used a biro pen lid/peice on a watch seal, the bit you put through the hole to make tighter. I think I chose these because then the scars (if seen) look like my cat scratched me x] which she did later on! Haha I cut under where I wear my sweatbband and I also cut my upper thigh, where my tan line was so its blatantly where no one would look |

Listen, those of you who are here to make fun.. I do agree that some people do it to go along with that f---ing emo trend and it's f---ing ridiculous and pisses even me off. I won't name names but it looks like there are even some in this thread :P That being said, there are people who actually struggle with it. For some it is a real problem and not just something they do to show off to their friends. Sometimes it's hard to tell the difference between the people who actually have problems and the ones who do it... what we'll call recreationally. But since that is usually the case and you don't always know who's for real, try and be a little more sensitive. For those who actually legitimately struggle with it, ignorant and/or intentionally insensitive words can actually be hurtful. Sorry for the rambling and I don't mean to be all mom-ish, but if you're just here to taunt those who may really have a problem, please find a different forum. |
