| Hello guys, iv been reading some of your comments for ideas, but i swim and do a lot of sport an my scars raise awkward questions. Im also not finding what i use satisfactory anymore. Any ideas of new things to use and where? Thanx. | |

| idontreallyknow. It seems like swimming is a good coping skill for you rather than cutting can you, or is ther anyway u can think of to distract yourself from this. It is hard i know but it is much more rewarding knowing you haven't cut by acting on something positive, like your swimming.When you do cut please though make sure you use something clean and don't go too deep. xx hope you can stop.xx | |

| I'm surprised I actually found a thread like this. :) Well, first time, I used a cutter from my mom's desk like when I was 11 or so. After I had to throw that away, I think I used my nails to scratch the skin raw. I stopped for about a year, then kept using my nails. I got fustrated with all that clear plasma stuff that gathered on the wounds, so I switched to scissors. I really worked well, since all I got was clean cuts and tiny amounts of blood. ^^" I once tried to used the cap of a pen but I couldn't get any clean cuts. After that I got an idea and tried this: I yanked the eraser out of a pencil, bit the metal part flat, and used that to carve a name into my arm, to try something different. No one knows where I keep my scissors, pencil, and tissues (I gotta have tissues to blot up the blood) since there in my small bag where I keep my "girl stuff". My friend Erika always calls me a "natural hardcore emo" since I'm only like 13. ^^"""" | |

| Thing is, once I cut, after the pain is gone, I feel bad because someone would eventually find out. The exact thing happened like a couple days ago. I ended up showing a boy my scars because he wouldn't shut up. I had to talk to the school counselor, and the principal. My gramma blamed my mom after my mom found out, and my aunt won't stop talking about it. But...it's addictive. :( | |

| When i cut i usually do it on my inner thigh so that no one will see it. when i want to cut deep and bleed a lot i will do it on my fore arm with an eye brow shaper because it is as sharp as a razor blade and it has a long handle | |
