I think to stop my cutting i need pizza. Chicken, bacon, sweetcorn, BBQ sauce, it just makes me tingle everywhere. At only £3 it just turned my entire life around :) Sorry for spam, but i have a new addiction :( |

i'm a sophomore in high school and have been cutting since the 6th grade. ridiculous right? anyways... i cut in the area between my legs but below my waistline, under and between my breasts, on my shoulder(s), on my hand(s), sometimes on my back, on my calf, on my stomach, formerly on my wrists and inner elbow, and on my thighs and inner (lower half and upper half) arms. i can't cut too often or let them scar on my arms and thighs because i'm in swim team, which sucks :/. i used to cut really really deep, to the point that i can still feel the scars (they are raised), years later, but now i cut shallow cuts. the thing with me and cutting shallow cuts is that i cut many more of them than i used too and i cut them really close. lately though, i have been wanting to cut deeper again. i want to see the scars and tons of blood again. i quit cutting for about 3 months over the summer, but i'm back at it again. i lost the knife i used to use and none of the knives in my kitchen draw blood, i can't buy a razor because the ace hardware and menards people are all paranoid and won't let me buy any unless i'm with my mom, and she doesn't know i still cut, any tips on what to use? |

btw i never let cut where people can see anymore. i had to try out a bunch of different places on my body, which is why i have multiple cutting spots. for people who have never cut on your legs: i wear jeans almost every day, even in summer, and people just assume that the scars are from an accident since i make sure they're not straight just for that purpose, and i havent been caught with cuts there yet because of those facts. :) |

I've been self-harming since 6th grade, by 7th grade I found a friend who'd take care of me, never managed to stop me but did keep me from overdoing it as she checked my arms almost everyday, she did it too, so she knew what it was all about. Last year, she killed herself... I never stopped cutting myself but now more than ever i feel the urge... cuz she was always there for me and I was rarely there for her, it was always about me and I never really... considered her own issues... I should have noticed something was wrong... yet i didnt... anyway... my cuts mmm i mostly do them with normal razors (to cut paper and stuff) i find them quite easy to use mmm my cuts have been from 5 to 7mm deep and about 1 inch long where i cut the most is the wrist... I wear a wristband so its easy to hide, im into music so people dont really ask why i wear it. thnx 4 opening this forum btw, it helps. A lot. |

I cut with anything sharp thats around me. I usually cut a lot of shallow cuts on my thighs because I play sports and I don't like when questions are asked. The cuts are usually two inches long and not too deep. Sometimes I cut deep though. I used to cut my wrists, hips, and chest. I have been cutting for about a year and a half. When I cut deep I use a kitchen knife and push in then pull slowly. It gives a lot of lot of blood. |

| ok, so how exactly do you measure depth of a cut? because i have cut myself pretty deep to the point where i am constantly bleeding without me putting like tons of bandaids on to kinda to hold it together. but i don't know how to measure depth i guess. cause you can't really see... or maybe my sense of measurement is all sorts of f---ed up. idk. but if someone could please explain, i'd love to know! | |

well im not too sure bout measuring depth, but i guess everyones opinion of deep and shallow is different. if its as deep as you are explaining, i think that is really deep. mine usually just cut through the skin so there is a good amount of blood, but i dont have to clean up or anything. the deepest iv gone made it bleed the whole day, like at school and stuff, and i started to freak ou about if someone would see or notice i was kinda limping lol. that was last friday, and my razor was starting to get blunt so that may be a reason why it bled longer, i dont know. it didnt seem any deeper than usual. |
