Also, if you start feeling lightheaded/dizzy, you start to feel that sensation right before you start sweating, you feel your face getting red, and your vision slowly starts to go black/white (you start to slowly become unable to see), you're about to faint. You shouldn't panic; just try to stop/cover up any bleeding and lie down on a flat surface. You can use a pillow, but when it happens to me, I find that pillows don't help as much as when not using one to lift your head. Sometimes, it's the other way around, though, so just try to work with it. Also, if you want something to stop bleeding, cover it with a cloth (terry cloth or gauze is recommended; you can look on google images for what terry cloth looks like) and leave it there for a while. It if bleeds through, DO NOT remove it! Simply put another layer of whatever you're using over top of it. Removing the bloody cloth will peel away the blood that is trying to clot/coagulate and invite more bleeding. I hope you can put that information to good use (although, the feeling of fainting is rather interesting). |

| Wait, Miss Confused, ive never used these wipes, but I assume they’re like rubbing alcohol, which I have used. It stings. A lot. It hurts and its not even that worth it because it doesn’t scar or help scar or anything like that. Cinerhpozich likes it because Cinerhpozich likes extra pain. If you’re not all that into a bunch of pain, don’t use them. Just clean your scissors before and after and you should be fine. The only time if ever gotten an infection was when I used my nail instead of an actual sharp object. | |

Oh, right, I suppose I should have mentioned the immense pain you'll feel after wiping over several hundred cuts with one of the wipes. Heh. My bad. I guess this would be a good time to mention I'm a masochist. :D The wipes don't just make extra pain and clean wounds, however. I, also, use them to moisten my skin to make cutting easier. (Although, I suppose water, or something, would work. Heh. . . .) Dry skin is tough skin, and tough skin is a b---- to cut through. If you have hardened muscles, the skin surrounding them will (naturally) be tighter, as well, and, while this would seem like a good thing, it really isn't. The skin is probably easier to cut, yes, but so, too, is the muscle right below it. If you cut the muscle deep enough, you'll regret it. Even as a masochist, I don't particularly enjoy cutting my muscles. Even more so when I found out how cancer works/forms. Heh. As we were saying, cutting a bunch of cuts and wiping them over with a wipe that contains alcohol (antibacterial wipe) supposedly hurts a lot to those who don't enjoy it. We still suggest trying it at least once, since you may come to enjoy it as much as we do. ^-^ |

Well, for me, I don’t mind the pain of cuts, but I hate HATE using rubbing alcohol. I only use it when I go really deep. And I don’t cut for the pain, I cut because I like the way it looks. I like blood, I like scabs, I like scars. I also cut because it’s what I’m used to; it’s the way I deal with things. If I’m upset, I’ll cut. If I’m in a good mood and I get the urge to cut, I’ll most likely draw a picture on my body. I like it. But for me, personally, it’s not all about the pain, the pain is just a side effect that I deal with. Now, other people might do it for the pain. It all goes back to why you cut. |

Oh, it doesn't matter how much you like blood. If your blood flow becomes unbalanced and blood doesn't flow to your brain as much as it used to, you'll most likely faint . . . or have a stroke, which will probably kill you. Heh. You may also faint if your body has to work a lot harder to make your blood flow as efficiently as it normally would, since you'll probably sacrifice blood that would have gone to somewhere else. I remember the first time I cut myself. I almost fainted, but after I laid down for a few minutes, I felt fine again. I continued cutting myself because it felt great, then I actually fainted. It was neat. :D |

| I never understood why people carve pictures into their bodies. We found that paper and crayons would suffice just fine, and we would save our skin for straight lines to allow more cuts to be made without overlapping. Over time, the pain and act of cutting just became a hobby, and now I do it even if I'm not feeling horrible. (Although, there really isn't much time where I don't feel poorly, anymore.) Hell, I do it in public sometimes. I try not to do it during classes, though, since the teachers flip s--- and overreact, and that's just annoying. | |

| Oh, I like blood, as well. I particularly enjoy how my own blood tastes compared to others' blood. (That's a whole other story for some other thread, probably.) What's starting to anger me now, however, is that my friggen razor is starting to go dull, and it's becoming troublesome to continue cutting myself while we talk. I may need to go get something else, and if that comes, I'll probably just leave for the night. I have school in the morning, anyway. :( | |

| Pictures are fun! I think I do them because I try to reserve cutting line for when I’m actually feeling a strong un-happy emotion such as sadness or anger or even confusion. The pictures are when I’m in a good mood, have a lot of time on my hands, and am bored out of my mind. | |

Yes, So Confused, We cut myself a lot. I've been told that I "have a real problem," but We don't really think so. As for the "in public" part, it's not like We really go out into public all that often, since it would take away time from cutting myself. I mostly only go out when I have to, or when my friends want me to go somewhere/do something with them. I cut myself during school, yes. There's not really much to say about that. ^-^ |
