LOL, popularity or authority isnt science, sweetheart. Hitler is a well-known historical authority, who has abused many pseudosciences including psychiatry to justify the extermination of the jews, such as dubious evolutionary theories and IQ tests that were conveniently rigged for their racist agenda. Science is a discipline that allows a theory to be falsifiable. So far, there are no objective tests in psychiatry that can falsify, validate or prove the existence of any mental illness. But if authority is what youre looking for, there are hundreds of qualified psychiatrists who will tell you exactly what I just told you. Read some of Thomas Szasz's books. He was a clinical psychiatrist and now is a professor of psychiatry, and he has explained in way more depth than I ever could about why psychiatry is unscientific at best, and a disgusting religion at the worst. Explain to me how science was involved in the day that homosexuality was removed from the DSM in 1973. So a minute before that historical moment, millions of homos had a mental illness, but the next, theyre all magically normal people? Youre telling me all that scientific shock treatment therapy was really curing a very normal guy who had nothing wrong with him, if it was done in 1972? Oh, and I used Wikipedia because i know its your source of moronic enlightenment. Does this work better for you? http://www.nizkor.org/features/fallacies/appeal-to-authority.html |

"Have you seen for yourself that the world is round?" Sure I have, satellite is mans best friend. It still couldnt tell me how to cure homosexuality though. |

"Sure I have, satellite is mans best friend." How hard would it be to falsify satellite images? Whether you like it or not, you absorb a lot of unproven information from authority. Mental illness is better treated as a social disorder than an intrisic, structural abnormality. My staunch little Pelvis, we've had this argument before and, frankly, I'm bored. |

"Mental illness is better treated as a social disorder than an intrisic, structural abnormality." Then you understand that it is a socio-political and not medical matter? |

| Of course, for the most part. Epilepsy and, to a certain extent, schizophrenia should be treated as medical conditions. But that's not to say that mental illness doesn't exist, which seems to be your point. Biologically, genetically, structurally normal people can still have major problems with their intangible 'psyche'. | |

There we go! You finally understand. "But that's not to say that mental illness doesn't exist, which seems to be your point." No, my point is that there is no way to validate any of them, because controlled experimentation on humans is limited. In the meantime, abusing your authority to invent bulls--- labels, defraud the government and present your coercive pseudo-science as a medical practice to deceive the public, in my opinion is a globally, organized f---ing crime. |

"There we go! You finally understand." No, I've always felt that way. You finally understand... "In my opinion is a globally, organized f---ing crime." So dress up as an insect and fight for justice by night. Don't bore me. |

Cut the bulls--- haart, it took 6 months to explain to you what science was, you are THAT f---ing thick. About fighting for justice, lets just say I am doing my part, the rest is a process and depends not on what people do, but how it cooperates and how much it desires to cease being a death business and become a medical, scientific discipline. The former president of American Psychiatric Association suggested a scientific reform (dont have link at the moment) and take a guess the kind of s---storm this caused, take a guess why. |

| Yeah, I'm thick, yet you're always the first to start frothing at the mouth, spitting tenuous little personal attacks to pad out your hollow arguments. You're almost too easy to crack... And the next time you try to guess what I've been thinking for the part six months, remember that I'm criminally insane :/ | |
