For a few months (Late February-Late May) I felt depressed constantly. I felt like life wasn't worth living anymore. Somehow, it just went away and I felt pretty much normal. Then throughout the summer, I would sometimes feel like that for a few days to a week. School started in early August then in mid August I started feeling like that again for a few weeks.
The things that makes me wonder if i have this, is that sometimes (it's been more common recently) is that sometimes out of nowhere I will all of a sudden feel confident and I feel like I know exactly who I am. I feel happy and don't worry about the troubles I'm having socially at school and such. Earlier in the year I felt like this and I cut my long hair to chin length. I really regret that, and just yesterday I came close to cutting it all off again.
Something that bothers me though that I don't think is a symptom of Cyclothymia is that if I'm reading a good book or see a movie, a part of me takes on one of the characters. This happens with celebrities, friends, characters in movies/books, etc. So I'll try and dress like them, act like them, and my whole personality will change for a few days. When I'm not in one of these "phases" I'll either pretty normal, or depressed and feel numb and like I have no personality.
So, is it possible that I have this disorder?
