"Jesus golden rule"

Do you have any similar quotes, from other religions?

There's an endless amount of those. :P

Here's a good one from Buddhism:
"The mind is everything. What you think you become."

"Looking forward to helping another is your second clue"

The party for the elderly lady was a very good event. Later that evening, we saw a rainbow.

I'm helping my aunt at the pharmacy. Never a dull moment there.

"The party for the elderly lady was a very good event. Later that evening, we saw a rainbow."

A good omen indeed.

The Jews have three major blessings (Baruchas) for humanity.

In order of least significant digits.

1. To do something for others when others know.

2. To do something for others when others do not know.

3. To do something for others when even you do not know.

I was unaware, we can help others, without knowing. Are there more Baruchas?
I have been unable to locate anything on Jewish teachings. I would like to learn more. I assume these teachings aren't easily found.

When you have time, could you post another quote?

"Are there more Baruchas?"

We Jews have blessings and prayers for everything.

We even have a blessing for Iran. It goes:

"May God Bless and Keep Iran"................................................................................................................................................................................................................far away from us. *s*

"Believers, Jews, Sabaeans or Christians - whoever believes in God and the Last Day and does what is right - shall have nothing to fear or regret" - Quran quote

....except for our suicide bombers!

Haha, sorry usually don't take sides in religion, but that quote made me laugh. :P

1. "To do something for others when others know"

This weekend I had the opportunity to help a family that had lost all their belongings in a recent fire. A group of us went shopping for them, and bought the kids new toys, clothes, etc.
The strongest social connections I seemed to have made, were with those young kids. Within a short time, they were playing and laughing again. That meant something.
Hope your weekend was pleasant.

My weekend was uneventful and for me that can be construed as pleasant. There is something left unopened in a person if they have never cared after another. Good on you.

I was pleased to be asked to help that family.
It's time to help the elderly lady again, this afternoon. Last week, she told me about being a wild teenager, in the early 1930's. What stories she told !!!
Tame by today's standards.

Do you have the quote relating to not judging others, as we will be judged?

How are you today?
