| To all of you not residing in Australia (i.e. everyone), you probably won't be aware that the most laughable "killer" ever to feature in Womans Weekly (a magazine that is published monthly) was bashed to death in prison today, Carl Williams. Laughable because he didn't actually do the killing himself, but hired hitmen. My question to you is this: If he didn't actually kill anyone himself, and wasn't there to enjoy their demise...is he a psychopath? Anyone can sentence someone to death, jurors "of our peers" do it daily. Wouldn't a real psychopath want to be present at their victims death? Either way, I just really disliked Carl Williams...this has made my day :) | |

The best psychopaths are not in jail. Have not been caught at anything and will never be caught at anything. They can and do move in and around their center of control with absolute confidence. The best of anything are amazingly good at what they do, and psychopathy is no different. |

| The overwhelming majority of psychopaths aren't especially clever... Most aren't even of above average intelligence. | |

Rather than disagree with some who would like to see the entire personality disorders in a single static stream I move to the view that since the brains emotive centers have been mapped, and the proof of a true psychopath is the lack of emotional lability and this is quantified by the Electroencephalogram. In other words, the truth is already out there and testing at the level of birth has shown that the issue is an emotive center that is quite dark and the darker the center, the higher the degree of behavior characteristics of the anti-social personality. I doubt there will be enough information to truly clarify these brain disorders as they will have to follow many subtypes throughout their lives. I believe that there are many more years to go Obsidian. However, the proof in the DSM5 is that flat static characteristics in the brain is equal to death of that area and this is in error as they have been able to "reinvigorate" areas and the brain is able to repair functionality given the proper medicinal environment. Now a permanent genetic manipulation would clearly allow that environment. And this is NOT STATIC, it is NOT FLAT. It is the future. |
