Sand paper cheek And a smile that curls his beard Eyes so blue that make rainbow tears But he manages to keep them smeared
Foghorn voice That echoes up the stairs To shrill the hairs on the back of my neck And always kept me scared
Undying strength To always put me in my place To fill the void of which he yearns For hug to replace
Sandcastle personality That washed away with water Maybe someday be restructured To care for his son and daughters
Altered testimonies And soft concrete convenient lies I can see his truest self In the depths of his rainbow eyes
Help needed For a dysfunctional sandcastle father Perhaps one day he may redeem himself All he needs is sand and water
